With not physical contact, uniformity feature, electromagnetic stirring technology especially applied to high temperature environment and other special occasions. The production practices shows that electromagnetic stirring improve columnar crystals, bypass, pinhole, increase equiaxed grain zone, reduce component segregation, reduce or eliminate the center loose center cratering. Therefore, under certain process conditions, reasonable choose installment position of the agitator, suitable mixing intensity and mixing method, control the flow pattern and flow rate of the molten metal, having a significant role for improving the continuous casting slab quality.
